Advanced Dental Technology

At Rolling Ridge Dentistry, we’re committed to providing the most advanced dental care possible. A large part of that commitment is staying up-to-date on the latest technology in order to make your dental visits more comfortable, effective, and efficient.

Whether they’re saving you time, enhancing your safety, or giving you the smile of your dreams, our leading-edge technology will completely change the way you think about dentistry.

Faster, More Comfortable Visits

Isolite Dental Technology - Dentistry Raleigh NC

Tired of long dental visits and the aching jaw that comes with them? The revolutionary IsoliteTM system is a small invention that will make a big difference in your dental experience!

Isolite has a flexible and comfortable mouthpiece that protects your soft tissues and lets you rest your jaw during dental treatments. It also illuminates your mouth from the inside, which allows us to have a clearer view of our workspace but it also gives your eyes a break from that bright overhead lamp. Best of all, Isolite’s sophisticated self-aspirating technology eliminates the need for cotton rolls and rinse breaks.

Laser Dentistry

Besides being more comfortable than traditional dental surgery, laser dentistry is also more convenient! The versatility of our soft tissue laser enables Dr. Thomas to perform many complex soft tissue procedures in-house, so you don’t have to schedule multiple visits with specialists.

One of the most common uses for our soft tissue laser is laser gum therapy for patients with gum disease. Dental lasers are also great for correcting gummy smiles and assisting in the healing process of canker and cold sores.

Low-Radiation Digital X-rays

Digital X-ray Technology - Dentistry Raleigh NC

We incorporate dental X-rays into all of our comprehensive exams, because many serious problems with the teeth and jaw bones can’t be seen with the naked eye.

Long gone are the days of dental X-rays requiring heavy lead aprons and loud, slow machinery. Now, digital X-rays emit notably less radiation than conventional X-rays, and they’re much more relaxed because they use smooth digital sensors instead of sharp X-ray film. Digital X-rays also don’t require any lengthy chemical processing, so the images are available on our computer screen within seconds.

If it’s been a while since you last had dental X-rays taken, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the speed and ease of digital technology!

Intraoral Cameras for Patient Education

Intraoral Cameras - Dentistry Raleigh NC

Photographs taken with our intraoral cameras give us a higher quality view of areas that can be difficult to see during a visual exam, especially the back molars. These high-resolution images are a vital education tool that Dr. Thomas uses to show you exactly what he sees during your exam.
